I heart Evangeline.org was created during the summer of 2011 (June-August) by Isabelle, which would be me. I had been a fan of Evangeline ever since 2004, and did at many points thought of creating my very own fansite for her. However, the huge amount of already built up sites put me off, and I decided to just visit all the other amazing sites for her as the fan I was. I kept following Evi’s career the following years, and I was a regular visitor at many of her online sites. When it was announced that Evangeline was going to star in “The Hobbit” I got super exited, as I am a huge fan of the book. During this time, most of her long running fansites shut down, and many was left without updates. I therefore decided it was about time I created my very own little site!
The name came to me quite quickly seeing as all the common ones (fan, web, online) was taken. I was a regular visitor of the fansite for Evangeline’s LOST co-star Emilie De Ravin called I heart Emilie, so I got inspired from them – after all, we do heart Evangeline! I applied for hosting at fan-sites.org by the amazing Gertie, who kindly accepted and bought us the domain evangeline-l.us. We where ready to begin!
I spent the next weeks working hard to build the site. All the information sections needed to be put togheter, as I wanted original content fans wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else! I also wanted a huge media and interact section for fans, and this took me quite a lot of time to build up. But I got pretty happy with the result – so I decided the site was ready to open!
I Heart Evangeline is now one of the largest and most complete fansites out there for our girl, and I strive to keep it up to date, original and big. If you ever feel like the site is missing something, please do email me and let me know – I would love to hear your suggestions! I am always looking for new Evi releated stuff to add to our site, so all requests and suggestions are highly appriciated. I hope you enjoy the site – don’t hesitate to leave a comment, I definitely don’t bite! 🙂
